Art Déco furniture, exceptional paintings, and both contemporary and antique sculptures combine seamlessly to create a refined and comfortable ambience. Hues of silver and beige tones gently complement the breathtaking view over Paris and its distincive zinc rooves. The Katara Suite showcases the very best of the Peninsula lifestyle blended with Parisian glamour.

To preserve the same spirit that prevailed in this landmark location more than a century ago, The Peninsula Paris called upon the finest craftsmen in the French capital – those possessing a unique and artisanal know-how. These artisans worked tirelessly to source authentic materials, decorations and symbolic motifs, and then restored them authentically and faithfully. In this spirit, each painting and gilding recreated by the Parisian workshop Mériguet-Carrere transports guests back in time to the memorable places in the Paris of the 1850s. To add a contemporary touch, the bronze and aluminum sculptures by Nathalie Decoster and the paintings of artist Deçan feature in various spaces.

The largest suite of the hotel is an authentic Haussmannian residence. High ceilings with exquisite moldings, a fireplace, and large double-doored windows are all signature features of the elegance of traditional Parisian life. The sparkle of fine chandeliers reflecting in the smooth black lacquer of a grand piano; the rich silks and brocades created by Prelle; the trimmings of the House of Declercq; and the finesse of Tai Ping carpets steep the décor in tradition, yet harmoniously contrast with the modern curves of the large sofas and elegant mirrors.

This spectacular and vastly spacious suite has the ability to adapt according to the number of its occupants. Ideally designed for two adults, each of whom has access to their own dedicated facilities and equipment, it also conveniently connects to two adjoining rooms to offer a large shared haven of tranquility.

Last but not least, everything has been designed to ensure the safety and privacy of our most prestigious guests.
